MSL is the largest Rover to have ever flown to Mars featuring 10 science instruments to study many aspects of the Red Planet like Climate, Chemical composition, radiation environment and the planet’s habitability in the past, present and future. The surface Mission will last for at least two years after MSL lands. The Rover will land at Gale Crater – a unique location presenting a record of the Evolution of Mars. Curiosity launched in November 2011 and arrived at Mars in August 2012 making the first ever guided re-entry to land at an exact target.
