Dragon C2/3 was the first Commercial Mission to fly to the International Space Station. This evaluation flight of Dragon was operated by SpaceX while NASA had authority over the integrated portion of the mission. The Dragon Capsule to perform this mission was launched aboard a Falcon 9 Rocket from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida on May 22, 2012 at 7:44 GMT. During the mission, Dragon's capabilities were evaluated including ISS Approach and Berthing. Once in the vicinity of ISS, Dragon was captured with the Station's Robotic Arm and berthed to the Station. The Spacecraft remained docked with ISS for 5 days and 16 hours, delivering about 520 Kilograms of Cargo to ISS and being loaded with 660 Kilograms for the return trip. After unberthing and release, the Spacecraft returned to Earth and made a splashdown landing in the Ocean off the Coast of California on May 31, 2012 at 15:42 GMT.
